Reference is an independent creative studio run like a band and built for work that sets the benchmark.
Small. Tight. Experienced. Hands-on from start to finish. No passengers. Everyone plays. No one's just holding a tambourine.
Because we're run like a band. The same people thinking it, making it, and delivering it. No layers. No delays.
Strategy to concept to execution. We stay on it the whole way. Because the best work falls apart the moment it's handed over.
We bring in the right people when required. People we trust, we've worked with. Not whoever's free on Tuesday.
Brands, agencies, production houses, directors. The ones who give a shit about the work. They come back for a reason.
Every great idea starts with a reference. You see it and think “Fuck I wish I’d done that”
That kind of work is an unfair advantage. But there’s a magic to making it happen.
Somewhere along the way, we lost it.

Budgets shrank.
Big names faded.
It needs better.
Turns out the world doesn’t need bigger. It needs better.
Wembley Stadium.
August 2nd, 2025.
Oasis back on stage.
Two brothers. Loud. Raw.
That's how great work happens.
Close to the people making it.
Hands-on. Backing instinct.
No committee killing it.
So we started Reference. Together.
To take back control.
Like a band.
We started in branding, learning from some of the best. Then helped pioneer social and digital across the region, before moving into agencies like Leo Burnett, BBDO, AKQA and M&C Saatchi, and spending time at Hill + Knowlton.
Then we went client-side. Built teams, ran studios, and saw what actually matters.
We've worked across everything. Big brands, small ones, and the ones still figuring it out.
We made the work, won the awards from Lynx to Effies to Cannes, and yes, cut a very convincing case study film. We know how to make it look good. That's the easy part.
What matters is whether it actually moves something.
So we know the difference between what looks good… and what works.
We’re not here to follow the reference. We’re here to be it.
